I have a few more names to add to the campsite list. If you haven't made your reservations yet, now is the time to do so. Also, If the xl sections fills up, don't worry. There are plenty of other sites nearby, and if you prefer a bit of privacy, there are more in different sections of the campground. Just as a refresher, here is the whole campground map. There are some of the X sites and F sites that are close by.
A few of you have started a discussion on the boards about the meals. Here is what is planned, and I'll include a list of what we are bringing, and what we need volunteers to bring for the potluck suppers.

Saturday lunch: Lunch is up to you, but you have several options. You can bring your own lunch or get lunch off-site from the campground. But the "Veg-Out" trailer will be open for lunch - this is the same place that cooks the pancake breakfast on Sundays, and is located at the trading post. Here is the link to the VegOut menu. I'll update everyone once I find out the hours they'll be open on Saturday, and if there are any changes to the menu.
I also believe the trading post will be open, so you'd also be able to pick up some extra food items in there as well. (They have ice cream in there!)

We do have ALOT of paper goods and plasticware left over from last year, so I think we'll be all set in this department. I have to check on what we have, but if we need any of that, I'll either ask or pick it up myself.
Also, if anyone has a large drink dispenser - something maybe a couple of gallons or more, like one of those igloo containers, it would be a big help if we had something like that. Please let us know if that is something you could bring to be used at event central.

We will have a clue book again this year, but it will only include event-related boxes. We will have two sets of permanent plants off-site, and possibly a third. There will be three sets on-site - a large set, a medium set, and a small set. We were planning on two nightbox sets, but it turns out we will have three! Tigs is sending a set that premiered in Florida, which will be out both nights, and we'll have one of ours planted on Friday, and one for Saturday.
If you plan on finding other boxes in the area, please make sure you print the clues ahead of time, or use your smartphone.
That's all at the moment, but I'll be posting more often as things come about, so stay tuned!! Can't wait to see you all in a few weeks!
Hello. I believe I may have access to both a large and medium igloo type containers. Let me ask the owner and ill get back to you. -Shesewez/Katie
ReplyDeleteMay I suggest you use something like SignUp Genius to coordinate the food signing up process - it'll be faster and easier for everyone, especially you guys!
ReplyDeleteWhere do we sign up for food donations? We will bring black olives and sour cream for Friday night and potato salad for Sat. night.

Please sign up using the potluck feature on the event page. Also, it would be extremely helpful if you list how much of each item you are bringing. We may need more than one person to bring certain items such taco shells/cheese etc.....
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Ooh, I have some hot sauces... :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know why, but the way you said that has me a little worried, Mr. A. ;)
ReplyDeleteSorry no go on the igloo containers I was hoping to borrow. :(
