We had a great Thanksgiving day, today - our oldest came over for dinner, we had plenty of food, and we sat around the table, which is a rare thing these days.
Turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, rolls, gherkles, olives, cranberry sauce. If you're not thankful for that kind of bounty or whatever bounty, large or small, we are able to enjoy in this country, you are broken and need to stop and reflect on the privledges we really do enjoy in this country each and every day.
After we had a great meal and a little time to rest, we headed over to mom and pop's house for dessert and coffee and some conversation. BB3's dad came along as well, and we got to see the chairs that pops has gotten into making - long story there for another time. Then we came home and got ready for tomorrow, but first I made the HUGE mistake of going to Wal-mart for a few last minute items (more in a minute). OMG, this is the biggest WM in the area, and the parking lot was soooo packed, I had to park where the semi's normally park. All to get some shaving cream and ibuprofen. People were SITTING in the aisles, waiting for the WM fairy to do....whatever. I was on the verge of panic and could not get out of there fast enough.
Ok, so why the psycotic safari to Wally world? We are heading to Connecticut in the morning to spend the weekend with mom and family. AND, to get some boxes! The weather looks good so far for the weekend, so I'm hoping to grab as many boxes as we can. And CT is loaded! I'm hoping to get up as early as possible, but me being a night owl...
So if I'm quiet for the next few days (ok, stop the cheering), we'll be busy either boxing or connecting with family, so relax. I'll be back Sunday sometime. Unless I need my AQ fix in-between. We're bringing BB3's laptop.
Box, Be well, and enjoy the Blessings!
