A Long Time Coming. . .

so first, a general apology: i haven't been writing. i seem to have this idea that, along with writing, i need to have pictures. And to have pictures, i have to take pictures - which i do, with my Android phone. Problem is, my computer is a Mac, and whereas it *used* to be a joy and a whiz to download pics from my phone to this blog, this computerly illiterate tigger can't quite figure out how to make the sync work. So, i keep putting it off. i'm sorry. that's dumb.

For most of you readers, this post will be a little irrelivant for you, but I'm in an LTC tracker where the link for the image we are using was broken, so we needed a place to store the photo for those that need access to it.  I volunteered to upload it here so the participants will have access to it.  But it is a really cool picture!

Welcome To Wakeda 2014!!!

It's here!  Well, it is for us anyway.  We'll be heading over to Wakeda today to set up and join a few others who are arriving early.  The Wakeda family is really glad to have us back again this year, and have been extremely helpful in making sure that things go well for all of us.  So I hope you're ready and excited for a fun weekend - and don't forget our motto - "Boxin' & Relaxin'!"

We're Not Just At Wakeda Anymore!

I've got a few more quick updates and requests for all you Wak-o's, but I've also got some good news for you thanks to a little footwork and some nice people.

Wakeda - Less Than Three Weeks

Boy, the event sure is creeping up fast!  I've been busy getting things prepared, and there is still much more for me to do.  We planted one of the series today, and we're hoping to plant the other permanent set tomorrow.  I'm still waiting on a few stamps, but the turnout so far has been tremendous!  Thanks all!!!  So, here are some updates, so hopefully this will help, and don't forget, if you have any questions, we have the discussion board!

Wakeda: Two Months Away

Yup, that's right.  Two months from now will be the start of our second Wakeda event, so its time to start thinking and planning for another fun time together.  We've got things in the works and are starting to pick up the pace, and hopefully the weather will be a little kinder to us this year.  Though, given the weekend before the event last year was cold and wet, I still preferred the weather we did have, but it was an extreme opposite, to be sure.  Here are some preliminary updates and  imformation for you, and as always, we welcome your feedback.

so, i'm briefly stepping in to say: February is a really busy month. i've been helping my sister, eeyoremama, with the Love Those TV Shows event down in Jacksonville, FL for the first weekend, then bopping around the Land of the Sacred Mouse for a week. Now, i'm home for all of 4 days and then i have to go take a class in St. Pete, FL to maintain my professional licensure. 

Comfortable Winter Boxing. Wait - WHAT?!?

This time of year up here in New England, most boxing comes to a stand still.  Sure, there are a few "snow-friendly" boxes out there, but most boxes are buried in snow, frozen to the ground, and that's even if you're able to hike out to where they are, or can even find a nearby place to park.  Granted, this time of year is a great time for other letterboxing activities, such a carving stamps, making ltc's, poking fun at tiggermama - you know what sort of very important activities I'm talking about - especially that last one.  ;)

Playing Catch-Up - A Short Final Post

Yes, this'll be very short.  After the events of my last post, we only attended two LB events and haven't been out actually boxing up until recently.  Its been a quiet but uneventful winter as far as boxing is concerned, but hopes of spring are now beginning to change that, as you can tell by the fact that I've been posting again!  ;)

After the fun and frivolity of L & B...  Wait a minute, that reminds me.  While at L & B, certain perpetrators decided to stage a little "room redecorating" of their own, trying to frame someone else (GMH) for the act.  Our beds and bedding were completely disassembled and stacked neatly in the living room of the cabin we were staying in - with another "evergreen air freshener" (a pinecone for those who need a little clarity) placed neatly on top of the pile!  Unfortunately for me, I had told that story to a few earlier that day.  Fortunately, I have my suspects and plan on "acts of kindness" for them in the future.  I even have clues!  ;)

From our day-trip in Manchester, NH, up until Live & Breathe XV, we were busy getting ready for this event.  We were on the L&B planning committee, and had alot to do in order to get ready to play our part in making this event a success for everyone.  Stamps to carve, plans to make, special items to build and create.

I left off with our mini-meet in Portsmouth, NH, which ended up being held on a Wednesday evening.  Our next letterboxing activity was an outing that same weekend to Manchester, NH.  No event - just BB3 and I boxing for our first time by ourselves in this big city.  We had a great day of it and saw some really great sites out on the trails.

Yes, its been a while since I've been in here.  I know.  But now that the holidays are past and things aren't so hectic, along with starting to gear up for Wakeda, I figure that I should at least do a little catching up on what we've been up to since I've last been in here.  And I'm always up for a chance to pick on Tigs.  Hey Tigs!  Why haven't you been in here, you bouncy rascal, you!!!  ;)
