Before The End Of The Year...

I wanted to take a few minutes and give out some special "Thank You!!!"s to people out there that have made this year a much better year for us, thanks to this ultra-fantastic hobby we find ourselves now completely immersed in and love more and more each and every time we go hunt for boxes or attend an event.  Consider this my Credits post, only they won't scroll too fast like, at the end of a movie, and you can't fast-forward them.  ;)


First, thank you to my boxing companion and comic-relief-on-the-trail, Cheryl, aka Betty Boop3.  We've had such a great time this year and it has given us some great time together hunting, exploring and laughing along the way.  If you're wondering about the comic relief, btw, there is always and without fail something along the trails that will trip C at least once.  Never fails, like clockwork, and its a hoot.  Though on occasion, something has grabbed my foot as well, but that's not every time like with C.  But its been a fun year doing this together, so thank you!!!

Next, thank you to Might M, aka gollygee, for taking us under your wing, guiding us along the way, and helping us out sometimes when we needed it, and sometimes not and letting us figure it out for ourselves.  You've been a wealth of information, a magnificent mentor, a fantastic event planner, and a great friend - thank you!!!

Thank you to tiggermama, aka tigs, aka psycho-cindy (I just made that one up).  My confidant, my pal, my co-author, co-conspirator, cohort-in-crime.  We hit it off right away and we've all had some fun and laughs ever since, and you have really added so much to our boxing experience.  We had brief but fun and fantastic exchanges at OMG, and I was so looking forward to you being here for OLT!  So I hope hope you give that bronchitis a great, big, hefty swift kick in the you-know-what and send it packing, never to return!  In other words, get well ASAP!!!!  You will be greatly missed, but I am sure Mr. Umbrella is taking great care of you, so you'll be in our thoughts and prayers tomorrow.  Thank you for your friendship, your partnership on this here "blog thingy", and your inspiration to us both along the trails and at home.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Also, a special and big THANK YOU to each and every one of you out there that have signed up and subscribed to this blog.  As of this moment, 129 of you have subscribed to our little adventure into recording our letterboxing experiences, which really has me surprised - I didn't think we'd get near that many readers, and it really makes me smile every time I see that number change.  Even if you only singed up to watch me screw something up here or there, that's cool with me - I have no problem with that at all.  In fact, I think that's why C signed up.  ;)  But seriously, thank you for being here with us, thank you for any input you'd like to give us, and thank you for joining us in this magical world of letterboxing!

Finally, thank you to AQ and LbNA - where would we be without both of you!!  The people in both of these places, the people behind the scenes updating and managing and fixing (you know who you are, ya big lugs!  ;)  To me, both of these sites have made boxing complete for us, and we couldn't have done it without you.  So thank you for that you do, for all that you've done, and for all the work that keeps these places up-and-running and joining people from all over the world in a common cause that is the greatest hobby on the planet.  Thank you!

I could go on and on, but thank you as well to each and every one of you we've met along the way - everyone we have met along the trails or at events has touched us in positive ways every time, and we are truly grateful for that!  So that you, one and all!  The year is about to end, and it has been such a great letterboxing year that I almost don't want it to end, but on the other hand, I think this coming year will be even better, so thanks everyone, and can't wait to catch up with you next year!  Good luck, God bless and happy new year!!!
